613S

I've owned this jacket now since 2022. So I think 3 years later it's high time I left a review. I own a lot of Schott jackets and this one really is the sweet spot of all of them. I found it very easy to break in and it wasn't stiff at all. The sleeve creases began to form after the first wear giving a beautiful patina. I hate the "new" look and the wait for that to disappear. With the leather on this jacket though, patina-speed is king! It drapes beautifully and isn't boxy like its 118 cousin. It smells gorgeous too. I don't ride a bike - I'm part of the rockabilly subculture and owning a Schott Perfecto is, as the title says, the Holy Grail! Slim fitting, not quite matte but by no means shiny, forms a gorgeous patina and movement is not restricted, The only thing I swapped out was the square buckle for a more period-perfect octagonal one. Next on my Schott bucket list will be to someday visit to the Schott factory. Regards from Ireland!

As a CBGB-era punk fan, I have always wanted a Schott Perfecto—and am I glad I pulled the trigger!

The narrow sleeves and lack of footballs give the jacket a vintage fitted feel without leaning too far into skin-tight fashionista territory. The leather feels bulletproof whilst also feeling comfortable and soft, such an amazing quality jacket! Even after one week daily use the jacket has broken in really nice!

Easily the best jacket investment I have ever made.

I am 5’9, 165lbs with a 39” chest and 17” shoulders. I purchased the 38” model which fit me perfectly. Schott does however recommend sizing up one, so make sure to enquire about spec sheets and do your own measurements before making your final decision.

I was looking to buy a leather jacket for a couple months, and finally decided to go with Schott after looking at other brands. I first went to my local Schott NYC store in San Francisco to try on the jacket and my experience there was really really cool. The staff there helped me try on a bunch of different styles including the 118 and the 618 but I ultimately went with the 613s for its slimmer sleeve look. The 118 I felt was a bit boxier and the the 618 was a bit to short in length. The 613s is slimmed out in the body and the sleeves and is a bit longer in length. I am 5’8 178 lbs and found that the 613s was a perfect fit. The leather quality is excellent, and one of the things that scared me the most about buying a leather jacket was how stiff the jacket was going to be, however, that that fear went away after a couple of wears the jacket loosened up and I felt it break in and now it fits like a total glove. This jacket is pretty high up there in price but trust me you will not regret buying it!

The jacket looks and feels fantastic. I instantly feel like a bad ass whenever I put it on. The leather is not what I was expecting but that is not the products fault. I had an All saints leather jacket I bought a few years ago but it was just too big on me and I didn't grow into it like I thought I would. Their jacket is more supple but more importantly doesn't really have the top layer of grain so it creases differently. I'm very interested in how this jacket with crease and wear over time. A bit worried about loose grain. However I believe in Schott and I trust they know how to make a good product because they have been doing so and have been a legendary company for more than a hundred years. I only give it 4 stars because it is brand new and I have no clue how it ages but as of now, wearing it a after one day, I love it.

This is the second jacket I have bought from Schott and have been extremely satisfied with the quality of both jackets

I wanted a Perfecto jacket to go with my Schott leather Pea Coat.
When ordering online getting the size correct is critical as living in the UK exchanging sizes would create its own problems and be very difficult.
Fortunately when I ordered my Pea Coat by asking questions to Schott directly regarding sizing and no doubt a bit of luck everything worked out fine and the fit was spot on and it is a very fine Coat.
Trying to work out if I could get lucky a second time ordering a Perfecto jacket online that is a very different fit to my previous purchase had me agonising over measurements on the spec sheets I requested from Schott.
Schott stockists in the UK are a rare breed and a lot of Internet searches proved this. However by pure chance I found "Rivet and Hide" a men's outfitters in Fitzrovia, Central London who were advertising stock of the Perfecto 613S.
A quick email confirmed they had the sizes I wanted to try on in store.
London only being a thirty minute train journey I went straight there in anticipation of being hopeful of finding what I wanted in the correct fit and at the same time removing the uncertainty and chance of ordering online.
I couldn't believe my luck, I am quite slim and tried a size 38 first this was slightly to much of a close fit, I then tried on a size 40. 
I knew immediately this was the one as it felt good, fitted very well, and the Perfecto styling made it look just right.
The standard of manufacture and quality of the leather again exceeded my expectations bettering anything available here in the UK.

This jacket is built like a tank! The steerhide was quite stiff when I first got it but after a few weeks wear it is starting to break in and soften up.

I was initially put off by the stock sizing of the sleeves. I'm below average height and the stock sleeves would've been just too long on me.

Many thanks to Jerri at Schott for providing me with info on sizing and for offering to alter the sleeves. My 613S fits great!

For reference, I'm a 5'11 slim person with 44" chest sizing.

I originally got this in a size 44 for a slim fit and I wasn't sure of the fitting with a hoody underneath it. It is very slim fitting for that size and I would not recommend it with a hoody.

I exchanged it for a size 46 and it is a comfortable fit with enough room for a hoody. However I had to get the sleeves tailored since it was too long and would cut off my circulation lol. Now it is an awesome jacket that I enjoy wearing.

This is one of those jackets that once you start wearing it you don't want to ever take it off again. Simply phenomenal!

It's pretty stiff when new but softens up nicely as it breaks in. I'm a size 40 and got also got the size 40 - fits nice and snug! However, if you want to layer with heavier sweaters underneath you should probably size up 1.

I get a lot of random people on the street stopping me and commenting "I like your jacket!" etc - a true head-turner!

If you're considering a biker jacket this should be your top choice!

Just received the 613S my very first Schott Perfecto Jacket and all I could say was WOW! I can't believe the quality and fit of this thing, it felt like it was tailored for me! From my shoulders to the arm length, sure it's a little stiff at first, but the quality is surely there, leather's thicker than your thick cut bacon lol! The one I got had no arm creases or anything, felt like it was straight off the shop that no one has even tried on. Also, I'm really glad that I listened and changed my size to 40 instead of the 38 that I originally wanted to get. This was recommended by Denise C. after I've sent numerous questions about this jacket which btw, I highly suggest if you'll be ordering online.
Anyway if this helps anyone I am 5"10 150lbs 37.5 chest slim built.
I don't really write product reviews, but I felt that this was truly worth it. Awesome job to this company.

I've purchased many leather "biker" jackets in my life time and I finally decided to buy the originator of the biker jacket, so I did. upon receiving it, looking at the quality, construction, smell and feel I was in LOVE! Then I put it on and it was a game over! This jacket is truly better than all the others, PERIOD. After that I sold/got rid of all my other leather biker jackets. The Schott 613s is all I need and want in my closet.

This jacket is beyond amazing!!! It fits like it was custom tailored, right off the rack. Leave it to Schott to keep making the best jackets in the world. Thank you. -Dottore

It used to be if one was 6 foot 4 and 200 some pounds and wanted an awesome Schott MC Jacket a 141L and 118L were the only choices. Not to put them down as 141L was an iconic choice for Tom Welling’s “Red Kryptonite” character in Smallville, and the 118L is a pretty versatile jacket with its soft texture and underarm footballs and padded kidney back. Supposedly the 585 and 1928 would have worked, but those options are gone – Regretful I didn’t give the 1928 a try when it was around (maybe 2028?). There is the route of going with the Jeff Goldblum or G Eazy route of an YSL where the sleeves are two inches away from where they should fall around the wrists - $5,000 is a lot to spend to have clothing look too small IMO..

I currently own a 118L and a 519. The 519 is an interesting jacket in that it is extremely soft and comfortable. Though it does have a finish meant to evoke horsehide, it is extremely soft and very easy to wear. If anyone has seen a broken in horsehide of steerhide they notice the break in lines in the finish. The pebbling helps evoke that shinier but broken in look. No break in required. The 2XL fit very well. My weight fluctuates between a 46L and a 48L.
I was hoping the 613S would be similar to the 118L and the 519 in being to meet the challenge of fitting me. There were elements of the 613 I always liked – The snap free collar, the amazing heavy steerhide finish and stiff look. Its 23.5 inch length of the standard 613 was an issue though. I am not JG, so I wouldn’t be able to pull that off. Surprisingly the 613s fit much better than I expected. Though I was warned the 613S is short it seems to me that it is the same length up front as the 118L (that rear padded kidney on the 118L accounts for its specification length), though not as long as the 519. Fit was almost like a glove. No, it is not a soft jacket like the 519, but it has a much edgier look. The stiffness is difficult to explain. The 519 and a broken in 118L feel supple when worn, the Heavy Steerhide feels like one is occupying it.

I like that Schott is keeping us tall guys in mind. Actually there is another Perfecto choice for a tall customer – a true horsehide 613SH, and some other slim fit XL/2XL models.
For my Perfectos here is the difference:

118L: Best for riding.
519: Great for comfort.
613S: Not as soft as the other two, but an iconic jacket that looks incredible.

If you are tall like me and want a Perfecto don’t forget to ask the nice Schott people for help with sizing.

After owning a Brown 519, I wanted a black leather for an edgier look. I found the 613S to be very simple looking, not too much hardware, and slim looking.

I'm normally worried for the fact that I can't find any schott related stores around my area and of course to be lucky enough to have the 'off-the-rack fit' as altering leather is really expensive as is.

I followed Gail's advice on the 519 which became a perfect fit at '42 chest ordering medium but the 613S is designed slim as well and come in chest sizes. I read a few reviews stating to order one size up but I stuck with my 519 size of '42 medium, mind as well order my correct '42 size.

One I opened the box, I noticed the weight of the jacket is heavier than the 519, leather is stiff (definitely protective thickness) taking a while to break in, and the fit...PERFECT.

The chest felt perfect having just enough room to put your fist into the jacket and rotating. You could wear a button down, neck tie, and a thin cardigan pull over sweater for this size, not sure if a really heavy thick sweater could fit unless one size up.

Armpits were tight but that's to be expected since there are no footballs but will contour with your body stretching the pit area out comfortably.

Shoulder to shoulder, neck to hip length, the slim fit around the waist area makes you look slim and not boxy/bulky, and most importantly the sleeve length were just on par with passing my wrist and ending before my thumb joint from the wrist AFTER the BREAK-IN time accustomed to my elbow creasing.

DO NOT SEND YOUR JACKET TO ALTERATION UNTIL AFTER YOUR ELBOWS BREAK IN 'SHRINKING' THE SLEEVE LENGTHS FIRST!!!

It's better to have longer sleeve to work with before break in time to alter afterward than altering the sleeves before break in time having really shorter sleeves after it has adjust to your arm length, you'll probably have to purchase another set of sleeves!!!

Wearing it due to its simple look and design makes it very flexible for any attire from dressing up to dressing down, definitely is a closet staple item. I received numerous amounts of compliments of the design, zipper hardware being thick, and just looking expensive as to other 'fashion' brands designs that even costs up to $5k.

ONLY ONE CON of this jacket would be is that the buckle doesn't a have a snap-on button that keeps it in its place like the 519. That should be a standard must have part in the design, it's very convenient not to have the buckle dangling around making noise, scratching something you're holding, whipping onto surfaces, etc. when unzipped.

There's no need to spend more than $600 - $1000, if the quality is there. Schott is the most iconic brand for their styling and quality that's made in the U.S. all for under a $1,000 when there are $5000 jackets from YSL fashion name that it senseless. It wouldn't surprise me if Schott went that route to fashion line of their using thinner leathers and charge 2 or times less.

You can't go wrong with this jacket, it's one of the best slim fitting designs.

So I've waited around 15 years to buy this jacket, and it completely lives up to my expectations. The 613S is probably less functional and more fashion (not having the under-arm footballs makes movement a little tougher, which for me is fine, I don't own a motorcycle nor do I intend to) and when they say slim fit, they mean it... which once again was fine for me, because I'm slim, like a tight fit, and want to stretch it out a little myself... but if you're going to ride in it, you probably want the underarm footballs. The jacket feels and looks amazing. You can just feel the quality and I love knowing I'm supporting American made apparel. I can't wait to re-review my jacket after I've beaten it up a little more and broken it in.

This is probably my 10th Schott jacket. I’ve had 118, 613, 113, 519, 618, and this is my favorite of all! Fits exactly how a leather jacket should. I’m 6’1, 183 lbs and I ordered a 40 for that Dee Dee Ramone fit!

The recommended size was a 44. When received it was huge in the chest and the arms were way to long. I am 5'11 and weigh 140 pounds.

The jacket is oustanding. Just didn’t give that 5 stars because the sleeves were to long for me. I had to send it to a leather tailor to get them fix and spent 130 CANADIAN dollars for that. Otherwise, I recommend the jacket.

I am approximately 5'7" and 125 lbs. which means I'm a small Asian dude and quite skinny. I was skeptical that this jacket might not fit me with its more American cut, but low and behold, it was pretty much an exact fit! Their size charts really helped and made me confident in my purchase. When it came, I was more than happy to feel the sturdiness and livelihood of the leather. Get this jacket!!! I highly recommend it!

Just got my jacket today and I am very impressed. High quality, great slim fit, craftsmen at it's finest. Read the other reviews, this is the best jacket.

I ordered mine from the factory on Monday, and got it on Tuesday! Talk about laser-fast shipping to eastern Canada! I'm 5'9", 44" chest size with 19" shoulders. However, I decided to size up to a 46, and what a wise choice it was.

While the 44 would've been an excellent fit, (I'll be getting that one too) the 46, while still sleek and slim, gives me some room for layering; hoodie, sweater, plaid long-sleeve + t-shirt, etc. And being that it's still quite cold at this time of year in my part of the world, the 46 makes perfect sense.

So in terms of sizing, at least from how my jacket feels on me right now, (no, I haven't taken it off yet) it's not necessary to size up unless you want to layer. You can just go with your chest size for a snug fit. Personally, I just wanted a little extra room, and a little is indeed what you get. As soon as you slap on a hoodie, sweater, plaid, or a combo over your shirt, you become a tightly wrapped parcel of awesome! The 46 is also longer by an inch. The bottom sits just below the belt line; for my height anyways.

All that being said, I must say, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I saved for quite some time in order to get my new 613. and I love it! Jerri and Denise are true champs of patience with the barrage of questions I had while making my decision, and I do apologize in advance to both ladies for all my future Q&A's!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to breaking this guy in!

I just got my 613s yesterday from Snake Oil Provisions in Long Beach, Ca. It is the best jacket I have ever owned hands down!! The fit the look the way it feels on me how comfortable and easiliy accessible the pockets are to get in and out of, A WAY bigger and better upgrade from my other PLG Leather Jacket. The people who work at SOP in Long Beach were the nicest most helpful and respectful cool people. Very smart very informative about the jacket and just over all really awesome people! The Schott team did a great job providing direction on jacket and size based on my measurements. I have an athletic build and often times run into challenges with suit jackets and blazers - the Slim Fit Perfecto works amazing though. You can feel the quality from the instant you put it on. Know that people are going to stare when you wear this thing out. It looks incredible. I've paired it with jeans and pants/dress shirt and in both instances it looks fantastic. Can't wait to break it in more in the coming years.
